This is the Wallis dress from Monique Lhuillier's Fall 2009 collection. I fell in love with this dress and had a magical experience wearing it on my special day! 

I chose this gown because of its uniqueness and intricate beadwork/crystals on the bodice. When wearing it, I felt like I was wearing gorgeous diamond jewelry but in the form of a dress. Even with all its "bling" it remains classy and sophisticated because the lower half of the dress was kept simple. It's a neat dress because it is quite stunning and you can adapt it to whatever style your wedding is, based on your accessories. (Me, I went for a vintage theme and wore it with gloves and a vintage hairstyle. Everyone complimented me on it and thought it was a beautiful expensive vintage designer dress!)

I'm usually between a street size 2 and 4 and this dress fit me fine. Some slight alterations were done to reinforce the underwires to keep them from poking out. I'm 5'4" and wore it with 4" heels. I spent over $200 to get the dress professionally cleaned by a shop that only does wedding dresses. There is some light soiling/staining along the edge that touched the floor when it was bustled. (The cleaning process was not able to remove it.) For this reason, I have discounted the price.

Wallis is ivory in color and encrusted with Swarovski crystals, embroidery and pearl beads. The beads are all hand sewn to the bodice. Toward the top of the bodice there are some bead/crystal covered three dimensional flower shapes that are bendable via the wire inside. The silhouette is a modified A-line with a short train.

This dress was featured in Vogue in Monique Lhuillier's 2009 ad campaigns. It's a very unique dress -- You won't find other brides wearing it and it's not something people have seen before. If you choose this one, I know you will enjoy it!
