This beautiful Janell Berte wedding gown came to me from a friend who had purchased it from the original bride. The gown has been worn once, for a wedding in 2001 (the date of this wedding and the bride's initials are sewn inside the dress). It is a lovely ball-gown style wedding dress with the upper portion made of off-white satin with embroidery, beaded applique, and what I believe are swarovski crystals. The skirt of this gown is made of several layers of tulle (with one petticoat layer of silk). The tulle is more sturdy on the inside and is layered with a lighter material tulle on the outside of the skirt, giving a lovely overall effect.

The dress is in great condition; however, there is one tear on the bride's right-hand side of the skirt. The tear is buried within the tulle (difficult to photograph or I would have included a picture) and so is barely noticeable. The hem of the skirt (particularly on the inner portion of the dress) shows a little wear from the original wedding (there's some fraying on the inner hem) but again, because of the multi-layered nature of the skirt, this is barely noticeable.

In terms of the size of the dress; I'm sure it can be altered to fit any bride, but I am a street size 10/12 and I do not fit into this gown comfortably. It seems to be closer to a size 4/6 although it might fit a smaller size 8.
